July 2, 2021 (MARATHON, ON)— On June 30, 2021, the province of Ontario had entered phase two (2) of the roadmap to reopening. As outlined in phase two (2), all public libraries are now permitted to reopen at a limited capacity. At this time, the Marathon Public Library would like to welcome our patrons back into the library for computer usage and item browsing/checkout. As per the guidelines enforced by the province of Ontario and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU), the library will be operating with a total of five (5) persons permitted to enter the facility. This capacity limitation breaks down to a limit of two (2) persons for computer usage and three (3) persons for browsing/checkout. All previous precautions will remain in place at this time. We would like to remind our patrons that it is mandatory to wear a mask and sanitize when entering the facility. The Marathon Public Library would like to thank everyone for your continued support in our small-town public library.
